MID NORFOLK GUNDOG CLUB
Held a 12 dog Open AV retriever stake by kind permission of Shadwell Estate and Head Keeper Robert Wingrove .
The day started overcast with showers. Jessie Musk ran a fantastic line and her beaters worked hard to produce the Game for the guns as the wind and rain wasn’t on their side !
The day had a variety of Sugar beet, set aside and mini drives. The partridge flew strong with the wind and multiple hares were added to the bag.
The guns shot fantastic with great camaraderie and this ensured the judges could test the dogs accordingly but sensibly due to the weather.
A high level of dog work was seen today especially the last 5 handlers but unfortunately we lost a few handlers on the last bird.
The judges for the day Phil Parkin, Nick Clitheroe, Jennie Hankey and Jim Collins .
Many thanks to my wonderful committee members who helped today and behind the scenes at every trial .
Also many thanks to Thomas and Richard we can’t run theses days without you all.

Many thanks to Skinners for their continuing support.
The Mid-Norfolk Gundog Club opened the season with a AV 16 Dog Novice Trial by kind permission of
Mrs Zoe and Mr Henry Darling at Place Farm, Norwich.

The judges were - Glynis Hillier, Henrik Vilendal, Hayley Drew and Craig Jackson.
The weather was against us from the start and continued throughout the day.
We started with a mixture of walk up on a potato field and water meadows followed by mini drives.
The birds were plentiful but the wind and driving rain made conditions tricky. The experienced guns managed to get more than enough birds for the judges to test the dogs and conclude a winner who was last dog standing.
Many thanks to judges, guns, helpers and committee members who made the day run smoothly.
Thank you to Skinners for their continued Support.

1st and Guns Choice - Nikki stranks with Troddenmills Imagine That
The Mid Norfolk Gundog Club held a 14 dog novice trial at Kilverstone Estate by kind permission of Lord and Lady Fisher, and keeper Reg Rayner.

Judges were Mr Keith Bedford and Mesdames Glynnis Hillier, Jenny Hankey and Hayley Drew.
The trial was totally driven. The first drive yielded only 2 retrieves but on the second and third drives the guns supplied a good quantity of testing retrieves for the dogs.

The result was:
1st Tideshot Wren handled by Mr K Smith.
2nd Saxthorpe Derwent handled by Mrs K Hurst
3rd Santana Moonflower handled by Mrs J Reed.
Thank you to a superb team of guns, beaters and other helpers expertly managed by Reg Rayner.

Thank you also to Skinners for sponsoring the prizes.
